Ten Non Traditional/Wacky, Off The Hook Ideas for Indiana

Let’s Roll!
1. Legalize marijuana and tax the HADES out of it!
2. Meet Market Mondays - EVERY grocery store in the city should have a 2 hr block of time where people can meet each other - for singles, for business development, for WHATEVER, just have different themes each night (singles Monday, business Tuesday, etc.) Grocery shop AND meet cool peeps? Sign me up!
3. NO TAXES on royalties - up to $100K. SAVE the creative class!
4. RENT out more public space! Let’s grow some biofuels, or crops, or FLOWERS on the sides of roads so we can improve the beauty of our state, AND generate some revenue up in here!
5. DITTO to #4 except with SOLAR panels and Windmills! If we could harness the power of the sun to be self sustaining and not depend on foreign oil, that would be PHAT!
6. GET RID of business taxes - why should businesses be taxed? THAT would encourage people to START businesses!
7. The Biz Development channel - WFYI, or someone else, could create a business development/entrepreneurship TV channel, where it is all entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship, 24/7/365. Rocktacular!
8. The entrepreneur bank - not so much money, but a place where people can be ‘fellows’ for a year who are trying to grow businesses, where they can apply, get resources, and actually be fellows in residence and work with/collaborate with each other for one year.
9. Fedex Fridays For All - Ok, I’m violating something here (trademark, copyright, blah blah) but there’s a company out there that gives ALL its employees Fridays off - to do/work on WHATEVER they want - the only stipulation is, the stuff they did they have to report back to the group on Monday (aka deliver overnight)! WHAT IF we ALL had Fedex Fridays and had the chance to be creative AND spark innovation?
10. SUNDAY ALCOHOL SALES! TAX me double on Sunday - I don’t care, but GIVE ME THE OPTION to buy the alcohol on Sundays - please. After all, aren’t we in a democracy, rather than a communist or socialist regime?

11. (another one added for a bonus): Instead of having ALL local news formatted the same (news, weather, sports, rinse, repeat) could SOMEONE take a risk and have, instead of sports on the news, just one night a week, arts and entertainment venues OTHER than sports, please? DITTO with late night TV - do ALL the channels have to be exactly the same? How about a woman on late night? How about a panel of women on late night? How about ANYTHING DIFFERENT on late night?
